No and that's intentional. Your level comes from the assessment, not self-reporting. Self-reporting leads to mismatched projects and wasted time for everyone, including you. The assessment protects you as much as it protects the community.
Absolutely. React Aligarh is open to all domains — design, content writing, marketing, community management, video production, and more. The assessment is domain-specific. A designer won't be asked to write code. A writer won't be asked to design systems.
Your mentor sees your full assessment breakdown. If there's a genuine mismatch, raise it with them and they can flag it to the core team. Reassessments aren't automatic, but we're reasonable — especially early in your time on the platform.
Yes. As you complete projects and show real progress, your mentor can recommend a tier review. It's based on actual output not how long you've been on the platform.
No. Tier isn't based on where you studied or whether you've worked. It's based on what you can do. Students with strong portfolios regularly land at T3 or T4. The assessment doesn't ask what institution you're from.
Yes completely. The assessment is part of the Member experience, which is unlocked by completing the free 30-Day Roadmap. React Aligarh is a non-profit community. There's no charge to participate.
